Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing all produced entertainment (as created, produced and defined by the shore-side entertainment division) Also, oversees recruiting, scheduling and maintenance of Production Team Creative Personnel so that the high level of artistic integrity, quality and safety standards are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees and maintains the artistic, creative and technical integrity of fleet wide produced entertainment to include theatrical venues, performers/orchestra, staging and choreography, vocal arrangements, costumes, props, scenic, music, video and aerial. Assists Manager of Technical Operations with technical integrity and personnel when required. Also, oversees recruiting, scheduling and maintenance of Production Team Creative Personnel. Responsible for the strategy behind fleet wide quality control to ensure costs are managed and the product remains consistent while providing regular progress reports to senior management. Collaborates closely with Director, Entertainment Royal Caribbean Productions on all production related areas.
- Investigates and resolves produced entertainment quality issues or concerns in a timely fashion, and always with a view of exceeding the expectations of our guests.
- Reviews Fleet Voyage reports and actions all necessary items related to production integrity.
- Oversees recruiting and scheduling of Production Team Creative Personnel.
- Ensures produced entertainment is scheduled, performed and presented as set and installed by Shoreside Entertainment division.
- Collaborates with the Executive Production Team, Cruise Directors, Technical Director Entertainment and Stage & Production Managers on all matters related to the produced entertainment. Provides direct and real-time feedback as necessary.
- On a regular basis, schedules calls with necessary individuals (Creative Teams, Cruise Directors, Senior Entertainment Production Managers, Stage & Production Managers, Cast Captains etc…) to review the ongoing maintenance, pre-show procedures and show-time performance levels of all produced entertainment and its personnel.
- Will assist and collaborate with the Director, Entertainment Royal Caribbean Productions for all RCCL Entertainment Studio events.
- Ensures all artistic and technical strategy is on track for revitalizations and newbuild.
- Implements Royal Caribbean International’s Royal Way Standards for the produced entertainment function. Reviews audit comments, discusses with on board management and implements audit recommendations. Identifies SOP opportunities and creates such policies for implementation.
