Position Summary:

The Corporate Event Planner Coordinator will be responsible for providing support for large corporate contract Incentive groups most specifically targeted at 200 passengers or more.  The Corporate Event Planner will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Event planner Specialist with programming coordination and administratively processing faxes and e-mails generally received which may consist of but are not limited to manifests, credit card payments, cancellations, dining request forms, and transfer requests.  The Corporate Event Planner Coordinator will be responsible for productivity in completing assigned tasks in a timely fashion. Communication skills, both verbal and written are essential to the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for resolving problems, manifesting names, hotel accommodations, transfers, accounting, processing dining assignments and handling all non-routine and out of the ordinary requests and situations for all assigned groups.
  • Supports a team of Corporate Event Planner Specialist accounts of $1M+ of Incentive Houses.
  • Handling all types of calls to support the Corporate Event Planner
  • Specialist to ensure coordination and logistical aspects of the requests and programming.
  • Liaison with Onboard revenue teams for Shore Excursions, SPA, F&B,
  • Specialty dining, Internet and Photo to drive pre-cruise sales.
  • Processing credit card payments and cross-referencing payments to the guests.
  • Processing all  name changes, name corrections cancellation &  inventory changes
  • Support and/or coordinates efforts of specific customization for complex requests.
  • Work with internal departments to fulfill complex group requests.

    Responsible for backing up the Corporate Event Planner Specialist in their absence.

Job Requirements


  • Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external/internal customers at all levels. Ability to build and maintain successful business relationships with external customers as well as co-workers in order to successfully service customers needs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand and carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to make basic in decisions in standardized situations.
  • SYSTEMS: Knowledge of AS400 or similar reservations system preferred. Microsoft Word and Lotus Notes experience preferred.
