Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY / JOB PURPOSE:

The Lead, Copywriter + Content will write and proof Trade and Field Sales information that will be the voice of Sales.  This will include ads, articles, headlines, collateral, direct mail, online copy, call scripts, talk-tracks, social media posts/tweets, special projects, and other related informative and promotional materials in appropriate brand voice for consumer, trade media, shipboard, and internal employee communications.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement brand guidelines for copy while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Writing and proofing copy from conception to completion in various media including The Celebrity Commitment and Field/Inside Sales communications, Copy & product content for trade facing website (The Celebrity Commitment) Cruisingpower and for internal Sales team communications

  • Create content for trade facing collateral requested from North America sales team.

  • Coordinate project timelines and updates to The Celebrity Commitment and CruisingPower.

  • Coordinate requests for sales collateral from all internal channels
    Proofing all sales promotional portfolio release of offers and incentives.

  • Coordinate brand information from multiple channels to be incorporated to trade and field sales facing communications

  • Creating and managing the timely release of new creative executions to Mechanical specifications. 
  • Provide copy direction and support to other communication teams (Marketing, Sales, Call Centers, Operations, etc.). 
  • Partners with Graphic Designer on a daily basis to ensure design and copy complement the marketing piece including regular updates of destination messaging for all channels.
  • Review final material and suggest improvements prior to weekly brand creative update meetings. 
  • Collaborates with Account Executive and/or Account Coordinator to liaise with Legal to ensure all copy considers laws governing copy such as registered and trademarked symbols, country of origin, offer communication, etc.
  • Partner with external agencies to drive asset development and final acceptance.
  • Performs audits and updates with The Celebrity Commitment and Cruisingpower.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field or directly related, equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years writing experience in advertising or related field. 
  • Luxury/premium brand experience is highly preferred.
  • Mastery of English grammar and punctuation.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, proofreading, and project coordination skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail; clear and concise communication, commitment to producing quality product; deadline conscious
  • Familiarity with print & online media; newspaper experience required.
    Software experience in Mac and Windows applications including InDesign, QuarkXpress, Word and PowerPoint.
