Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy and Integration is a leadership position that is responsible for evolving and optimizing the utilization of promotional strategies and leading the integration of these strategies across our global commercial channels within the Royal Caribbean International Brand. This high performing leader will have a direct impact to driving nearly $5B in top line annual net ticket revenue. This position will manage a high-performing team reporting into the Commercial Strategy organization. The Senior Manager and team will be responsible for defining KPIs for promotional performance, leveraging analytics to evaluate the existing promotional structure, and aligning channel needs with the existing promotional toolkit. In addition to optimizing our existing promotional practices, the role will need to create the roadmap for new opaque methods of selling inventory and driving new business to the books. Key to this is spearheading the creation of targeted offers. This role will have a Global impact and will require a strong working relationship with various leaders across the Global organization. This includes but is not limited to Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Onboard Revenue, IT, and International teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a high performing team
  • Ensure cross team collaboration mindset is instituted and followed through with timelines and goals
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Onboard Revenue, and International teams to define and measure the Global Promotional calendar
  • Create standardized metrics to measure promotion performance at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Lead the creation of a testing cadence to create new insights on how the brand develops new or enhances existing promotional strategies
  • Report promotion performance out to key stakeholders across the Royal Caribbean International brand
  • Develop competitive insights into to better understand the competitive landscape and identify potential areas to increase market share
  • Integrate best practices for how and when promotions should be used across all markets
  • Optimize the existing promotional structure by aligning channel-level needs with the appropriate offerings
  • Lead the creation of a roadmap for the development of new opaque channels, including Targeted Offers

Job Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university required, Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of commercial experience
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences with a desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment with the ability to interact across various teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with deadlines and manage changing priorities with minimal supervision and intervention.
