Job Description

Position Summary:

Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the AVP of Data Analytics and AI, this position will assist in operationalizing team objectives and work plans of one or two programs within the Data Analytics & AI function. It will require partnering with Digital, IT, the brands, and other support functions. This is a core activity in supporting the transformation the company to be more data-driven and AI-driven in all that we do. It will result directly in the high levels of team performance that will positively impact the business.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with business and technical leaders to:

  • Drive execution of a portfolio of AI projects/programs in alignment with and supporting our emerging Strategic Roadmap. Responsible for business impact, as measured critical business KPIs.
  • Adapt, modify, and re-prioritize across the portfolio in accord with emerging understanding of feasibility, actual realizable business impact, and timing.
  • Oversee and organize a team of Data Analytics & AI professionals in their technical delivery.
  • Help roll-out programs for driving a more data-driven culture.
  • Ongoing training content, cadence & targeting Support infrastructure (people, practices, and such).
  • Support the assessment of the company's use of commercial or otherwise external AI and analytics technologies, from vendors, partners, or in open source. Help optimize build vs. buy decisions and strategies.
  • Evaluate and develop the appropriate business cases, in close collaboration with existing business (e.g., marketing, sales, revenue management) data practices, to demonstrate how emerging AI and analytics technology can move critical business KPIs.
  • Establish actionable KPIs and success metrics and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
  • Leverage data science tools and techniques to analyze large data sets and develop custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns and insights in the data.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant field. PhD strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years leading enterprise-focused analytics/AI teams and/or projects
  • Experience developing and implementing projects that link to core business such as ERP, MRP, BI, CRM, AM.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management
  • Experience leading/creating advanced AI models and solutions.
  • Must be highly motivated as this position will require significant focus and energy to influence change as he/she will work with other leaders to transform and help RCL continue to innovate in a sustainable and profitable manner.
  • Lead the development of advanced composite and pipelined models. Strong ability to collaborate in matrix organization and make the whole better than the sum of the parts.
  • Leadership skills, including coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and management.
